Martin Leestma is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO at Forthright Solutions.
Marty brings nearly 30 years of top-level strategic business experience to Forthright. His career has focused on large-scale transformation initiatives with various companies and he has deep experience and expertise across the value creation life cycle, including: formulating the executive agenda, creating and executing high-impact business solutions, and enhancing client capabilities through significant enterprise re-engineering.
Marty was President, CEO, and a member of the Board of Directors for Retek Information Systems, a publicly traded company that was registered on the NASDAQ. He was responsible for leading the return of this $175 million company to profitability as well as re-establishing Retek’s leadership position as the number 1 software provider to fortune 500 retail companies. Marty also oversaw and directed the sale of Retek to Oracle for $700 million.
Prior to joining Retek, Marty was Accenture’s global managing partner for the Retail and Consumer Goods and Services Industries. He started his career at Accenture in 1980. He was promoted to Partner in 1991, Managing Partner Minneapolis Products Technology in 1993, Global Managing Partner Retail Technology in 1996, Managing Partner CGS NorthAmerica1999, and Global Industry Managing Partner Retail & Consumer Products in 2002.
He is actively involved in Social Venture Partners and Genesys Works Minnesota where he is a board member and board chairman.
Marty received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management & Computer Science fromPurdueUniversity.
